Logandene is planned as a sixteen bedroom Older Peoples Assessment and Treatment Ward. That will be very similar to the previously completed project ‘Lambourn Grove’. With the lessons learnt we have a very unique opportunity to re-create and deliver an even better facility for the Service Users at Logandene. The commercial element is now agreed and the Construction stage is currently scheduled to commence from June 2016. Full site set up and surveys for both asbestos and water hygiene have been completed to enable swift mobilisation of the demolition works.
Completion March 2017.

This project was awarded Best External Environment award at the 2017 Building Better Healthcare Awards. The BBH Awards celebrate outstanding achievements and innovation in the healthcare sector and recognise the people leading the way in enhancing services across the sector.
This award was presented for an outstanding external space that enhances the overall experience of patients, staff and visitors. The garden at Logandene Dementia-Friendly Specialist Unit has been transformed to provide a safe haven for people with dementia.
Logandene is a standalone NHS dementia care assessment and treatment unit. We took on the major refurbishment to provide a 16 bed homely environment for people with dementia.
The judges said:
This is a pleasant, controlled scheme which deserves to win. For people of this demographic it is very, very good. It has been very thoughtfully designed, with good sinage and use of colour.
