Construction of a new safety suite onto the side of the existing inpatient building.
Beech Ward Safety Suite is a 15 bedded low secure service for men with mental illnesses and personality disorders, who are at significant risk of doing harm to others. The service offers specialist psychological, psychiatric and behavioural therapies and complex specialist rehabilitation, to people detained under the mental health act, to allow people to return to life in society.
This highly complex building was part of the Trusts roll out of safety suite enhancement projects and is one of six brand new safety suites covering the Trust Estate. The works were delivered by Kier Construction via the NHS P22 National framework.
