The Colonnades – Office refurbishment and enhancement to Learning and Development Centre

The property is a leasehold site and contains the Trusts Head office and Learning and Development Centre. Some adjacent space within the building became vacant and provided the Trust with the opportunity to take possession of the entire site providing a number of adaptation opportunities. The additional space was on the First floor and was vacant.

Phase 1 involved the full refurbishment of the vacant first floor space including new AHU’s providing heating/cooling and ventilation improvements, Small power/data, New suspended ceiling and lighting throughout, Fire alarm, Access Control and intruder alarm, Furniture installation, Signage/branding, Decorations, flooring, blinds, creation of secure storage areas – print rooms and private 1-1 rooms..

Phase 2 involved further works on the First floor and the relocation of staff from other sites. Phase 3 involved adaptation of the existing ground floor space from office use to additional suite of training rooms for Trust usage.

The scheme was delivered using the JCT Intermediate form of contract.

‘blu’ were appointed as client side project managers and delivered the project from inception to completion.
