This project involved the construction of a new Children’s Emergency Department, as well as dedicated Maternity and Gynaecological facilities. The venture, which spanned several months, aimed to enhance the hospital’s capacity to cater to the unique healthcare needs of children, expectant mothers and individuals requiring gynaecological care. Population growth will lead to 9% more children in Buckinghamshire over the next 10 years. Children’s attendances at ED have already increased by more than 17% since 2017.
In addition to the Children’s Emergency Department, Stoke Mandeville Hospital now boasts outstanding Maternity and Gynaecological facilities.
