Blu Building Consultants were appointed to project manager the delivery of a new Health Hub located in the existing St Albans Civic centre to provide the Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust with a modern, specialist, Primary Healthcare facility.
The scheme makes use of the ground and first floor of a prominent corner of the Civic Centre. Within a limited existing footprint the team were able to remodel the existing building to provide a number of Clinical / Consultation Rooms, Group Class Rooms and a specialist state of the art Audiology suite with associated Observation Room along with two new Waiting Areas, Cleaning Facilities including a Clinical Sluice Room, WC’s and Clinical Stores.
The projected was delivered using a fast track programme and in collaboration with Ashe Construction and Designcubed Architects.
The project was delivered whilst the Council building remained fully operational.
The scheme was procured via the SCAPE framework and the regional contractor ‘ASHE’.
